BTW Roy, I think the earth only has 2 poles - not 4. Maybe you meant 4 corners of the earth..That at least is a biblical term even thought it is not literallly true.
Since the earth was considered flat and square way back when Isaiah and Revelation were written, four corners still fits well. However since we now know that the earth is a sphere ....... I can't imagine a sphere with 4 poles. :)
