The Guile "bait"

[Third of Four]

After either leaving "The Way" or being "Mark and Avoid", Chicken or the Egg scenario, I wanted to understand what I had been through. I participated in the "The Way" to better understand God and his word, that was the bait that lured me in. After I left I decided to try to understand how we got this book "The Bible" that "The Way" used as a hook to say that they were the only ones that understood it, thus keeping me on the hook. It seems everyone wants to say they have the understanding on the bible but what is this bible that they have an understanding of? Two years ago I read a book "Lost Christianities, The Battles for Scripture and the Faiths We Never Knew" by Bart D. Ehrman. Its just a book, not the ultimate truth, but sheds light on the origins of this book "The Bible" that people use to govern their own lives and many use to govern the lives of so many others. It takes more than one reading but may help you to understand that you are not alone in questioning or in understanding the tools that have been used for years to control people. If interested read the book and tell me what you think. I get very busy so don't get on very often but will check back. PS where is the spell check??? I slept through spelling in school.

Yes, I often used that scenario to describe my situation........that is kind of like why we as "grads" would never tell a new person at fellowship, "don't own a home" etc.....

You don't slam them with all the "rules" and "regs" the first day....it is a slow process......
