I got a big kick out of the FedEx caveman commercial and the Michelob Amber "touch football" commercial. The "Godzilla and robot have Hummer baby" was just creepy. And the "Whopperettes" was an amusig idea, but the commercial was too long.

Oh, and from Mark's link, it appears that we didn't see all the GoDaddy (whatever that is) commercials. Pity...
Superbowl 2002: I was at a company meeting which started on that Sunday with a Super bowl party which continued through the game. With all the meeting and greeting going on, I missed not only the game but the commercials as well.
A co-worker told me that the Clydesdale commercial that year showed the horses quietly traveling east through country, until they "reached" the WTC site, at which point they bowed on one knee. Is that correct?
She said she just lost it. I'm kind of glad I didn't see it, 'cause I'd of been a wreck. If her version is true, that spot should have won a Cleo-and maybe it did? Anybody have a link?

I think at $5 million per 30 second spot, they should be mini-motion pictures. Very few could live up to that. I didn't see a whole of originality.
I remember when $250,000 was considered a lot.
The more they cost, the higher the goods go.

Ha!! they were nothing special to me either.
Sadly -- the companies that advertised spent $83,000.00 per second
to get those lethargic messages across. :(
Usually a couple stick in my mind -- but not this year.
I forgot about the monkey one, till you mentioned it.
I thought it sukked.

The "magic fridge" was definitely the best of a mediocre selection. The "streaker" lamb was kind of a cute.
Most of them weren't even new, just the same old stuff that had already been running for months.

I didn't see the "magic fridge" commercial during the game (must have been a "bio-break"). I just saw it on the link Mark put up. It was pretty funny!
