These credit card companies are a great tragedy driving simple American people into debt.
We had a nice college-student admin assistant, and she accepted a few of the "instant credit" credit cards -- 30% interest as stated in the song and also $39 a month late charge.
It split up her and her boyfriend, and she quit work in depression.
My son also while in the Marine Corps got nailed in this regard as well.
The credit card companies are the current American "success story," and are one of few American companies posting a profit. The price is financial deception, IMHO.

Seems everyday I come home, I find 2 or 3 letters saying --
YOU'RE APPROVED!!
I just rip them in two, and toss them out.
Got caught in that trap once. Never again.

same here
they make it so darn easy to get in debt
it was over 30 years ago for me and i haven't had one sence
just cut them up if you don't really need them
i guess some people do for business or what ever
but never for compulsive buying
that is what tripped me up
