The reason I ask is, I have wanted to give my "real" email address to people in PM's, but are they safe from bot's that harvest email addresses? Private Messages are private and only accessable by the user they are addressed to.
No bot or spider can see them, unless you give them your login credentials (which would be ill-advised).
