The only comforting thing about this tropical depression is that it is improbable that it will become a hurricane. The water is not warm enough now to permit such a storm to form. Hurricane season ends in about 2 weeks and hurricanes that develop now are very rare.

Actually, I heard on the weather last night that it could develop into a category 2 hurricane. :o
Not happy about ANY TD. They still haven't picked up any debris from our neighborhood and it looks like it won't happen for awhile.....Oh well, if anything comes our way it's off to Orlando again :P

Heard the Accuweather forecast from Joe Bastardi this morning and he's predicting a Cat 2/ Cat 3. He's been scarily accurate in his predictions so far...
I wouldn't worry about it Raf. What are the odds that a storm would form in the Caribbean, hang around the Yucatan, and turn northeast to devastate Florida?

I'm not sure how bad that really is, living in the north east. But I'll say "whew", and leave it at that because I trust you and I know you know what you're talking about.

Oh, it happened a month ago?
Never mind...
And now Gamma has the same cone as the last one followed. :o

Since it won't die, might as well call it the THE cone.
All hail THE!

Oh goodie. Now it looks like it's coming apart. Thank God.
Of course, same thing happened to another TD earlier this year. It reorganized and became Katrina.

We are leaving here....NJ....on Sunday morning. I expect the storm itself will be over, but I'm wondering about debris and wind along the way.

Right now the prediction is tropical storm strength, at most, when it rolls through.
