starting out you can have 6 games going at the same time-then as you play and complete more you get more,and you have 3 days to make a move so it's not the intense chess games-although there is a java based blitz game thing that can be accessed, these are 10 minute games

of course there are benefits for those who are paid members-but playing free is plenty for me

Yahoo has a chess games that you can play for free. And you can set time limits :)--> Also, if you don't make a move in 10 min. you forfiet.

I like games with either 10 or 15 min (on each side) time limit.

Playing chess over the internet if good. However, playing somebody face to face is still my favorite way to play.

yeah, i do yahoo chess too.

and world chess network-but it costs money

there's only a few world wide ones that

have a decent size board that i like

gettin' older and have a 19" screen even

so i like the ones that have the big boards

the 3 day move thing ain't bad really

get to take your time and think

and people usually move quicker then three days

1 or 2 minute games are fun too though

can do that on world chess

o and for gameknot make sure you have your ad blockers and security set, without being a paid member they popup

but not when you are on a game

there was one called chess rally i used to play

a one time charge of $20 at the time but i haven't been there in a while and then there were not too many players

sorry for so many posts in a row but...

gameknot sends you an e-mail when your opponent has moved, you can work your way up to haveing 20 games at a time going..
