In the upper left-hand corner of this page click on "Go" and select the "my space" option, and then the "Private Messaging" option. You will see any private topics people have started which include you. You respond to them just like any other thread.

Also, when you log in and there's a new private message, there will be a little tab at the top where it says Go, New, Find, etc. that says "New PM!" You can just click it. This also works if someone has sent you a new response on an old privet thread, as well.

I honestly haven't looked, but have you tried TWI's website? Seems a logical place to start.
