satori001
Those of you who haven't yet discovered podcasting are missing out. You don't need an iPod to listen if your computer has a speaker, and most do these days. Check out the categories and topics at this website: http://www.podcast.net/ Yes, there are others, but I'll let Google do the work. Need a pep talk? It's there. Need tips on crocheting? It's there. Ebay tips? There. Marital advice? Bible readings? Debt counseling? Comedy? Religion discussions? Interviews? Sunday Night Services from the WOW Auditorium? (Not yet, sorry.) You get the picture. If you do have an iPod (or the equivalent), you can take it with you. They don't podcast much music yet due to copyright issues, but there's lots of indy stuff around. Clearchannel must be terrified. Hope so.
Ron G.
As long as the SWAP SHOP is on every morning from 9 til 10:30 and 30 or 40 folks sit down at Fergussons Superette listening to it over the PA while drinkin their coffee...or listening in the truck or wherever...Radio won't be obsolete. It's the information superhighway in these hills.
GeorgeStGeorge
My turntable and rotary-dial phone are obsolete, too. What's your point? ;)--> George

Strangely enough -- it is the *obsolete* rotary dial phone that works during power outages. Go figure. -->
