I was involved in one of these at a company management mtg I went to a number of years ago. WOW they are a blast. The one I was involved with was like an Agatha Christie Mystery.
I hope you have alot of fun

LOL yes, but I would also want to see you guys...I love teens btw. Maybe I'll bring my 14 year old son. He would love that...lol Just kidding.
I just found out though today that I have to have surgery august 18th. When is the party? I will be out of work for a couple of weeks so it might be tight financially for me then.
My wife and I went to one where we were supposed to dress up as famous movie stars or writers from the 1920s. I was Charlie Chapin and my wife was Dorothy Parker. We had to look up on the internet exactly who Dorothy Parker was.
It's a lot of fun if everybody really gets into it and plays along.

Murder is against the 10 Commandments, and if you treat it as a game, you start your children down a long and dangerous path...
Sorry, wrong thread.

Thanks steve for the invite. I will seriously think about it. It depends on if I can afford it. Hopefully, by august I should be. Is it on a weekend?

Probably. It will most likely be a Saturday afternoon.

By the way, you *do* know that most of the party attendees will be 13 years old, right?

A local restaurant used to hold those pretty frequently. It was a novelty for a while, but then interest waned.
I never did go.

It always sounded interesting, but I never played in one.
I HAVE, however, done a considerable amount of LARPing.
That's Live Action Role Playing.
They have some things in common, so preparation for both is similar.
(Technically, the Murder Mystery Party IS a form of LARP but is not usually called
that.)
I found some links you might want to review.
Basically, you'll want to read anything about preparing the game area,
costuming, and troubleshooting.
If you have specific questions related to any of these, you can direct them to
me. Anything else I wouldn't be able to answer.
Here's the site all the links connect to:
