The ways by which you may get money almost without exception lead downward. To have done anything by which you earned money merely is to have been truly idle or worse. If the laborer gets no more than the wages which his employer pays him, he is cheated, he cheats himself. If you would get money as a writer or lecturer, you must be popular, which is to go down perpendicularly. Those services which the community will most readily pay for it is most disagreeable to render. You are paid for being something less than a man. The State does not commonly reward a genius any more wisely. Even the poet-laureate would rather not have to celebrate the accidents of royalty. He must be bribed with a pipe of wine; and perhaps another poet is called away from his muse to gauge that very pipe. As for my own business, even that kind of surveying which I could do with most satisfaction my employers do not want. They would prefer that I should do my work coarsely and not too well, ay, not well enough. When I observe that there are different ways of surveying, my employer commonly asks which will give him the most land, not which is most correct. I once invented a rule for measuring cord-wood, and tried to introduce it in Boston; but the measurer there told me that the sellers did not wish to have their wood measured correctly,—that he was already too accurate for them, and therefore they commonly got their wood measured in Charlestown before crossing the bridge.
Ha ... sorry, that is a hint ... but I thought it was interesting ... from "Life without Principle" It maybe sorta ties to twi making money from their endeavors ...
or maybe "it was just the beer, I think" ... from that piffle 77 video ... I think ...
if you knew it was tho reau dome, you maybe knew it was not thunder ...?
did you solve it or not? I'd say yes, you solved it, but you answered in typical Strange fashion ...
and now no one else wants to do your work for you ... you solved it ... you do the next puzzle ... that is how it is supposed to work ... instead of you solving it, but not quite answering, so someone else can post ...

that is my personal word of prophecy for you
Dude, I have no idea what the heck you're talking about. I guessed "Thunderdome"... if that's not correct, then tell me it's not. That's all I've got.
I've never heard of a movie called "tho reau dome" (as you stated above) so my closest guess to that is "Thunderdome".
Upon further review... and after staring at the movie title YOU supplied... I now change my guess to "The Road Home" although I don't know if that is a movie... unless it actually IS "THO REAU DOME"... but I don't watch foreign movies too much...
I say Tom can take it if he wants to just continue the game, but he did not get it until the clue was supplied. He stumbled on it, but didn't realize what he stumbled on.
Tom, since you frequently answer with not quite an answer, and with George's smirk, I figured you knew. Sorry if you didn't. But since you guys are so good, I figured you and George both knew it once you had the two clues.
I was going to do "the road warrior" but switched to "the road home", which I thought I'd heard of. I should have checked the ticket numbers more carefully.

Well, from the hint and the candy cane, I would guess "Citizen Kane"; but what is the first picture?

Assuming Rhino's third entry was a typo for Spaced Invaders, I'm giving it to him. (SPACE + STAN + VADERS).

Unless it's "Thunderdome," I don't think Tom got it. If it isn't, then what is it?
