lindyhopper
like as we are yet without sin, is how the verse goes. I believe it was LCM that refered to that verse after speaking on the torture of JC and specifically referencing how the soldiers "made sport" of JC. He basically said,"see tempted in all things, even homosexuality. What a messed up thing to say. As if being homosexually raped or hetro for that matter is a temptation to enjoy it. The whole concept of rape is that you don't want it and really don't enjoy it. Maybe this sheads even more light on his warped sexual ideas and practices. Perhaps we could go thru the Bible or just extrapolate a little and examine this "tempted in all things like as we are, yet without sin" statement. Quote some verses and splain the tempations. We know the direct devil and satan temptations in the wilderness. What others can you find?
smurfette
He had to be tempted to go by the letter of the law only----of being legalistic----of being too egotistical 1. Woman caught in adultury-He forgave her. The official written penalty was death, rihgt? 2. Pharisees/Sadducees were the ones teaching at the time. 3. He was God's son-the Messiah---and we had loyboy thinking he was some great thing
