I read an interesting book about the bloopers and errors of every single episode of the original series - and boy do you have to be quick to actually spot some of them!
A book?
Dude, I've read them all!
The Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers
The Nitpicker's Guide for Classic Trekkers
The Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers Vol. II
The Nitpicker's Guide for Deep Space Nine Trekkers...

Long live Phil Farrand!
And I'm a big, big fan of www.moviemistakes.com
Seriously: the explanation has always been that Chekhov must have been somewhere else on the ship. And that Saavik is half Romulan.
In other films: why does Marty McFly's paternal great great grandmother look like his Mom?

Trefor Heywood
Well apart perhaps from the original series and TNG (and the movies) I never had much interest in the rest Raf.
The McFly family besides being time travellers must have been very close knit interbreeders who never moved out of Hill Valley.
But we digress as you don't find many Brit accents among them... ;)-->

Do any of you Trekkies own any Spock ears?

Irish, but not Brit...
And no, Johnny. No Spock ears. And since I'm a Next Gen Trekker, I must add: no Geordi visor either.

I think I have a cheap $2 pair of the ears SOMEWHERE.
Never actually planned to USE them, just thought they'd be handy to have.
I know there are people who make Klingon batleth "swords", but I can't see
buying a prop the price of a used car.

The thing I thought about the McFlys-other than the inbred community thing-
was that the guys in the family must all seem to like women looking one
specific way. (No, I don't think that's very sensible, but that's the
best explanation I had.)

That would explain similar. It wouldn't explain identical.
Oh, and NO ONE noticed that Marty, er, Clint was a ringer for Seamus McFly? No one?
