It's true. There's enough bismuth in P-B to make the airport x-ray machines show it as black. I had a box of P-B tablets in my carryon bag and the screeners had to open it and check the box.

For the same reason that 40% of a Monday through Friday work-week falls on Monday or Friday.
By the way - *my* birthday and *my ex's* birthday ALSO fall on the same day of the week every year - not only that, but they are on the same day of the month, just different months.

Okay, but I thought that Benjamin Franklin wrote a thesis paper once on the theory and describing how you could do it only if you had enough thrust.

Did you know that Sir Isaac Newton was the first to arrange colors in a logical sequence, which became the color wheel that we still use today?
He was a smart guy, that Sir Isaac....

I doubt that this is correct.
Bismuth IS denser than lead, but Pepto-Bismol is a solution of bismuth subsalicylate, which is NOT denser than lead.

Explain this one please. What do you mean "odds are." The odds always are.
If you put two people in the same room, odds are roughly 364:1 that they have the same birthday.
If you put 367 people in a room, it's 100% certain that at least two will share the same birthday.
What's special about 23 people?

Raf -
Try it sometime. Much more often than not, in a group of 23 people, 2 will share a birthday. But not always.
