mstar, your story about that kids' signs made me cry, too.
I've thought of Paw's dad so often during the playoffs and the Series. I don't know him, but I know what it's like to wait a lifetime for a winning team!
It seems there are amillion stories going on like that Linda, I only hope some one is taking them all down--For a team whose motto since April has been "Keep The Faith" and its theme song a gospel song "I Still Believe" its as inspiring and uplifting as a religious revival.... (I swear I saw some burning bushes today ;)-->, Ok maybe it was autumn foliage in the setting sun).......except more encompassing because it crosses economic, social and religious boundaries and covers an entire region, family and friends are being brought together and long time hopes are bloomin.....
Ok enough of that..even though there is mountains more we can spend all winter and the rest of our lives sorting it out and telling the stories.
Today is a good day,

The Cards look like they're imploding, although they DID manage to get out of that eighth inning jam (bases loaded, no outs, but in the end no runs scored).
