I don't have the actual sesame seed or braun food bar recipes anymore, but one of the first two or three Moosewood Cookbooks has a recipe that is really close.
Here's the actual recipe for the sesame peanutbutter bars:
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup peanut butter (the natural does a better job)
1 cup non-instant powdered milk
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 cup sesame seeds
Warm honey and peanutbutter together, add powdered milk, coconut and then sesame seeds. Spread into a 9x9 pan, refrigerate, and cut into squares. Makes a dozen
YOU ROCK GIRL. I'v been dreaming of thoose peanutbutter bars for years. It was the only comfort food or food that gave me comfort. I would trade my sandwich for one of those. We got bag dinner for corps nite on Wed.
Thank for giving the recipe. This is a great day.YYYYYYIIIIIIPPPPPPEEEEEEEEE.

Thank you , thank you!
Last night, I made my own version:
2 cups raisins, ground in food processor
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup milk powder
1/4 cup honey
3/4 cup coconut
I mixed it all together, pressed it into a pan, and the kids are still begging for more of it!
Now I have something new for quick energy for the t-ball crowd; thank you very, very much!

I thought it was fig pap or was it "pep"?
anyway, on these bar thingies... are you supposed to bake 'em? or freeze 'em? or just let them sit there until they dry out and get hard?

Uncle H -- Really??? That is too bad. :(--> :(--> :(-->
I never did care where the recipe came from. If the "end product" was tasty, who gives a rip who "promotes it" ?? -->

Am guessing you are associating the food with bad experiences.
Me? -- I enjoy the food, and forget the experiences that used to be around it.

You simply mix them and keep them in an airtight container in the Frig. They will stay good for quite some time. No need for baking or drying out.
