You'd have to go with the second. It's bad form to go right back to the same actor even though they've been in different films together. We'd be here all day linking Jerry Lewis to Dean Martin and back. This came up early in the thread with, I believe, a Back to the Future reference.
Generally, it's best to look back a page or two to make sure there are no redundancies. In cases where the thread has been dormant a while, the rule is relaxed.

The rule is against sequels to get TO actors that appear in both films. There's no rule against cameos to get to actors that are not in the first movie (ie, even if it were a sequel, it would be okay
