For future reference, the rule is to avoid linking back to a movie in the same series except to find an actor who wasn't in the previously named film. Bridges was in both Airplane movies, so that would be a violation (if anyone called it. I'm not). Robert Stack would have been better.

The rule is against sequels to get TO actors that appear in both films. There's no rule against cameos to get to actors that are not in the first movie (ie, even if it were a sequel, it would be okay
