Their new v1.0PR is now out, and I downloaded and installed it. And it is a *significant* improvement over the previous release! Hell, better than IE even at IE-like operations and look-and-feel.
Much faster. Better and more stable feel. etc., etc. I could go on, but download it for yourself and see what I mean. I know I sound like a freekin' commercial, but just go to www.mozilla.org, download the latest release, and let us all know what you think.
Nope! It automaticaly imports all of your IE bookmarks. :)-->

I have no idea as to whether you have to delete any previous versions of Firebird or not; I went ahead and overwrote mine. But then again, I didn't download all the 'extensions'. If I were to guess tho', you might be prepared to download the extensions again, as new versions of applications usually do require you to reinstall whatever plug-ins that they use.
If/when you install ver. 10PR, let us know what you think of it.

*sighs*
IE has "Favourites", FireFox has "Bookmarks."
I know it imports IE "Favourites" and makes them "Bookmarks".
What I want to know-and, from your post, you know the answer-

Actually,
we had a post with the patch linked,
but this link explains WHAT the problems were,
and WHY a patch was needed.

It's already on my "to-do" list.
One question:
I'll need to re-enter all my bookmarks all
over again, right?
(I'm ok with reloading all the "extensions",
but I don't want to re-enter all my bookmarks.)
Another question:
If I do have to re-enter it, can I keep both
side-by-side as I do it, or do I have to
delete previous editions of FireFox to
complete the download?
I didn't see that answer when I was looking
this up.

What I want to know-and, from your post, you know the answer-
is,
if I install it over a previous FireFox,
will it retain my FireFox "bookmarks",
or will it delete them all?

Oh I see your question now. It shouldn't overwrite your previous bookmarks, but then again, I mihgt be wrong on this.
I'm still new to Firefox's way of doing things. So bear with me a bit, ok?

It retained my Bookmarks.
Now, if they can just finish redoing all the
Extensions, so I have my dream-browser again,
I'd really be running cool.
