I think I remember this from one of the collateral teachings- Job Victim to Victor
This is what Job said happened to him:
Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
The thing that Job supposedly feared was that his sons had sinned and cursed God in their hearts. Because he held it as nagging fear either it came to pass or the adversary was able to use it against him.
Job 1:5 And it was so, when the days of [their] feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings [according] to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually

yes i remember something like that,,,
and yet, life or reality is not so simple, there are many hard blows,
I think God can use these sufferings, not cause we "feared", but because he loves us and can use them for good.
thanks

"longsuffering" is just old English for "patience". Period.
