quote: "It's nice to have scientific confirmation for what the vast majority of biblical scholars and archaeologists believe."
And then there is ---
quote:The only clue that survived for more than 2,700 years is an inscription discovered in 1880 on a tunnel wall that supported the link to King Hezekiah, although it did not name him specifically.
PS -- it never ceases to amaze me how folks are soooo willing to look at "biblical stuff", and try and find a "rational" reason for it's existance, and ignore the written record of it in the Bible. -->
We have cars, elevators, national parks, toasters, computers, M-TV (gakkkkk!!), scenic highways, 4-color printing presses, on, and on, and on.
Where are the sceptics who see these things, and then read the written record of how they came into being, and then say --
"Hmmmmmm? Can this be the same thing spoken of in these pages??"
I have GOT to say -- "Get a life", or "Examine your premise, and apply it equally".
Good point miller, but to me it's more like seeing the "written record" of how the toaster came to be, but I can't find any toasters anywhere, although I run into plenty of people who claim to own toasters. I too can own a toaster if I just have faith.
When I was in 5th grade, I used to draw comic books featuring giant monsters stomping on my school, with all my least favorite teachers pinned beneath the weight of it's scattered beams.
The school actually existed, so it must have really happened.

Sounds to me like you have "examined the premise, and are applying it equally" ;)-->

So what? The existance of a landmark or structure mentioned in the bible doesn't answer the question posed in the title of thread.
Absence of any supporting evidence doesn't disprove it either.
