IF the computer runs, and IF Office has been installed on it, there is a program from Magical Jelly Bean software that will show you your Windows XP and Office cd keys. You can download it here: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml
Believe it or not (my brother did this) If you call Microsoft and tell them that you have the disc but lost the key, they will give you one if you push the issue.
My brother got a Windows XP code and a Windows Office XP professional key in the same day
Microsoft, despite their fascist product activation BS, is surprisingly cooperative if you have your story straight when you call in. I had *no* problems installing Win 2003 Enterprise, a very expensive piece of software, on another machine when I told them I was testing it on the first machine I activated it on. They happily gave me a new activation code.
Years ago, they sent me a new Microsoft Office CD for about $5.00. I told them (the truth) that my floppies had become unreadable. No verification, no nothing.

Nope. It's buried so deep that you'd be better off just buying a new set of CDs.
