Hey, are any of you truly former 9th Corps? I heard the guys in flying saucers came and took them all away. Now because the use of"user names", and Screen Names is so popular...one cannot be sure that the 9th Corps has been taken away or not.
Hummm...I sure Rocky will reply to this ....or is it really Rocky? Live Long and Prosper.

niKa I know, Rhino I know (and Simonzelotes, Fellowshipper, Excathedra, TomTuttle, etc.), BUT who are YOU?
You guys( Youins for Niki) talk about the spring coming on and all I see is the fall starting. Some of the trees are starting to shed and the english oaks are dropping their acorns but no squirrels to eat them. The pidgeons start pecking at them in late winter I have observed. How weird is that. Rats with wings, how clever of a statement.
It is very dry here. We are in stage 3 of water restrictions and the talk is going to stage 4. I am not allowed to water my lawn, basically, only the garden.
I just spent close to 6k for a new lawn. I removed 4 inches of soil had 4 put back and Santana bermuda put on top. It is like a golf course on our small lot only to see it burning up under the drought. Ugh.
Ater some thirty years of putting new lawns in for others and finally doing my own and basking with the beauty of a new lawn was well worth it, but it is losing color. I enjoy walking barefoot on it, as I did the work.

Never have bought anything from QVC or HSN/C... what a wonderful bunch of kids you have there... and the oldest must be incredibly smart, going to the University of Chicago! :)

Oh... (((((((Karmicdebt))))))), I'm SOOOOOO sorry. It is most understandable that you would feel that way.

I'm not even going to touch the "midnight" line.
I'm just imagining sand between my toes, and warm sunshine.
mr.niKa FINALLY returned yesterday, from two weeks doing science in New Zealand. Things are much easier in the niKa household today.

Lyrics for: Escape (The Pina Colada Song)
I was tired of my lady
We'd been together too long
Like a worn-out recording
Of a favorite song
So while she lay there sleeping
I read the paper in bed
And in the personal columns
There was this letter I read
"If you like Pina Coladas
And getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga
If you have half a brain
If you'd like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the Cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for
Write to me and escape."
I didn't think about my lady
I know that sounds kind of mean
But me and my old lady
Have fallen into the same old dull routine
So I wrote to the paper
Took out a personal ad
And though I'm nobody's poet
I thought it wasn't half bad
"Yes I like Pina Coladas
And getting caught in the rain
I'm not much into health food
I am into champagne
I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon
And cut through all this red-tape
At a bar called O'Malley's
Where we'll plan our escape."
So I waited with high hopes
And she walked in the place
I knew her smile in an instant
I knew the curve of her face
It was my own lovely lady
And she said, "Oh it's you."
Then we laughed for a moment
And I said, "I never knew."
That you like Pina Coladas
Getting caught in the rain
And the feel of the ocean
And the taste of champagne
If you'd like making love at midnight
In the dunes of the Cape
You're the lady I've looked for
Come with me and escape
repeat chorus twice and fade out

Oh gawrsh... you're tooooooooo kind. AND suggesting I, as if anyone, can read your mind? Now doesn't that seem to be quite absurd?
No Jood, I never claim (and do not act as if) I know everything. However, I do know how to GOOGLE. But even THAT has limitations.
Oh... while I do not KNOW everything.... I MIGHT have an OPINION on (close to) everything. :P
AND, I DO try to read TONE of voice in the posts people make.

how long has it been since mine ears have heard the prophetic words of reverend2Ts?
the lyrical musings of simonzeeloaded?
the upside down because he's down under wisdom of the fellowsleeper?
...well I say too long! ...where's the commitment? ...where's the heart?
...Just look at those pelicans out there! ...waiting for someone to throw them scraps of fish...

But Fellowshipper, it's not NOW where you are. It's tomorrow. So, if you are all gone tomorrow, where the heck are you today?
