exie have you forgotten one run, two zoo, three tree, four door, five hive, six sick, seven heavan, eight gate, nine wine ten den. Basically memory pegs. You were sleeping in residence.
Remember that one hour of sleep before midnight is worth two afterwards!
Also, one hour of making out in the Library attic is worth the two hours of sleep that it costs to stay up late enough to make out for an hour in the library attic.
... and while you were losing sleep over a bit of tongue twisting, I had already gotten a lil sumpin sumpin and was fervently praying in the spirit !!!
I was the only girl on the jackhammer crew that night. There were about 5 of us who had been maybe 15 seconds late to Corps Night. Instead of being allowed in, we were told to change into work clothes and meet back in 10 minutes or so. We were then taken to some basement or somewhere, where jackhammer work was being done, and had to take turns running the aforementioned machine. It was extremely heavy; even though I am tall, I could barely even hold the thing upright, much less control it when it was running. I only had to run it once, because it was pretty obvious that someone would get hurt.
It was supposed to make us really, really care about being on time the next time.
It just made me really, really mad. I don't remember whether the experience had much of an impact upon my future timeliness. Probably not that much. If it did, it was timeliness with a sour taste, where before there had been mostly just optimism.
It's not that I minded the rules, and it's not that I didn't follow them most of the time. But I thought that making folks run a jackhammer was mean.
I thought that whoever ordered that was being very prissy.

Never have bought anything from QVC or HSN/C... what a wonderful bunch of kids you have there... and the oldest must be incredibly smart, going to the University of Chicago! :)

Ya'll keep me smiling. Someone MUST copy this thread post by post.
So we can laugh when we are all seniors, thereby we will live longer.
We'll make a little black book out of it and call it "Laugh Lines"
Now get busy.

This thread was begun on July 3, 2002, one minute before High Noon.
Interesting that it's 3-1/2 years old. Does it seem that long?
Thanks, Pawtucket!
