I just asked my grandson Cletus(that's his name) and he said" Crimanitlies, Grandpaw!, Of course George should get the next one!" Now where do you 'spose that young 'un ever heard a word like crimanitlies?

Okay GSG... you're up (by order of Judge Cletus (that's his name))
The song was indeed "Gimme Some Lovin'" ... by the Spencer Davis Group, Stevie Winwood on vocals and a hammond C-3 (I believe)... he was also the keyboardist for Traffic and the lead vocal on the aforementioned "Dear Mr Fantasy"...
Interesting! I've heard the song dozens of times, but I guess I always misheard that line. Of course, When I sing the song, I use "She slaps policemen like Zsa Zsa Gabor!"
(the intertwining: that's when the clues are related by band members doing different things like Eric Clapton from Yardbirds to Cream to Derek and the Dominoes to Solo... or like having a song by Dave Mason and then a song by Steve Winwood, both from Traffic... or back a few clues ago we followed some Humble Pie, etc)
actually you are both right..."Chicago" was first done as a Solo by GN after the 71 (first) break-up of CSN & sometimes Y on his First Solo "Songs for Beginners" (late 71) but was released first on CSN & sometimes Y's "4-way Steet" Live Album in earliy '71.. interTWining the Hollies with its Guitarist Graham Nash in CSNY

It was played on album oriented stations so that counts. I remember it I just can't think of the song right now

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

well... judges... don't we need a "band" as well?
wasway or waysider why don't you take it? (unless CalDreamer wants to get in on it!)
Or we could just give it to GSG!

An oldie, but pretty easy...
She walks the beaches like Zsa Zsa Gabor.

I'm disqualified because I was sure I'd never get it... so I googled.
I found this as a misquoted lyric that should be "she wants to be just like Zsa Zsa Gabor"...
...but maybe it's a different song...

I remember the nights we dated.
Always acting sophisticated...
She wants to be just like Zsa Zsa Gabor.

That would have to be that wacky Doo-Wopper from The Bronx, Dion Dimucci along with The Belmonts----------Donna, The Prima Donna.
Same era
Deepening shadows gather splendor as day is done.
Fingers of night will soon surrender the setting sun.

Ah,yes. Romper Room. Miss Barbara would look through the magic mirror and say" I see Tommy, I see Georgy,-----------"
Actually, I'll accept any cover but the original would be cool.
Here in the afterglow of day,
We keep our redezvous beneath the blue.
Here in the sweet and same old way,
I fall in love again as I did then.

Actually, I think Dion had split from the Belmonts by the time "Donna the Prima Donna" came out.
Waysider's song is familiar.... "Harbour Lights" by the Platters?

ohh so close but yet so far away, GSG
Twilight Time by the Platters
From the park you'll hear
The happy sound of a carousel
You can almost taste the hot dogs
And french fries they sell

That one is easy... (I think)... I'm assuming you want the version by The Drifters and not The Rolling Stones?

Either will do, of course...but withthe interTWining of the 2 prior dooWAP tunes I was thinking of the Drifters when I posted it...Go get 'em TS

Under the Boardwalk by... The Drifters.
Here's a new "intertwining" start... since I'm too young for that doo wop stuff...
That's the way the whole thing started.
Silly, but it's true.
Thinking of a sweet romance
beginning in a queue.

"Bus Stop" by the Hollies.
I don't know about this "intertwining" stuff, though this is roughly from the same era:
Pumped a lot of 'tane down in New Orleans.

That would be Proud Mary... by CCR or Tina Turner or maybe Bobby Darin... everybody tried to do that one... but none better than John Forgarty

I've thought about it... and with the intertwining... I'd now say "Chicago" or "won't you please come to Chicago"... CSNY
