You guys are all so close....but nobody named the band...they hadn't invented that silver bullet yet waysider... but back then every time he came to town, to play at the local bars or homecoming dances, he had a different band..

It was played on album oriented stations so that counts. I remember it I just can't think of the song right now

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

The correct spelling is "Troglodyte." Performed by Jimmy Castor, but who would know that?
Go ahead, Waysider.

I was just 13,you might say I was a musical proverbial knee high
When I heard a couple new soundin'tunes on the tubes
And they blasted me sky high
And the record man said every one is a yellow Sun Record from nashville
And up north there ain't nobody buys 'em
and I said "But I will!"

Sharon-------------That's close enough for the kids I hang out with.
It's actually "Nashville Cats" by Lovin' Spoonful, John Sebastian's tongue in cheek salute to the business side of the music industry.
Anyway-----"Just glad I had a chance to say a word about the music and the mothers from Nashville."
Me thinkest thou art NEXT!!

Ladies and gentlemen
The flight to "Name That Tune" has been temporarily rerouted.
Do not panic. Remain calm.
While we are waiting for the flight to resume it's scheduled course repeat the following chant:
OOGA CHACA
OOGA CHACA
OOGA OOGA
OOGA CHACA

If that's meant as a clue, I'd guess "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Swede (not the BJ Thomas version).

Correctamundo George-------Didn't mean to usurp anyone's turn. Just thought I'd kill some time while we're waiting for Wasway.

I wasn't even paying enough attention to notice that Waysider wasn't Wasway. I can wait!

Sorry guys... Things were hectic this past weekend... If I'm not around just go around me... I promise I won't be offended
Use to play this one in my 8 track...
Cause I was born lonely down by the riverside
Learned to spin fortune wheels, and throw dice
And I was just thirteen when I had to leave home
Knew I couldn't stick around, I had to roam
Ain't good looking, but you know I ain't shy
Ain't afraid to look ya girl, in the eye
So if you need some lovin, and you need it right away
Take a little time out, and maybe I'll stay

OK---'nuff ramblin' for now;I'm going to crack open a silver bullet and chill out.
ps---That storm looked pretty nasty on the news. Everything Ok out your way?(That's not a clue, just a concern.)

Bob Seegar Ramblin Man.
And you are correct, it was before the Silver Bullet Band. Like 69, 70, somewhere around there.
