That's because you're young my friend. The song title is "Epitaph", the band is King Crimson and Ian MacDonald and Peter and Michael Giles went out on their own (from King Crimson and Robert Fripp) and did their own stuff... which was a BIG part of the 'sound' on the first King Crimson album (I don't remember if it was before the second KC album or the third)...

An intimate knowledge of King Crimson was integral to ... uhh I forget... that whole period from Nixon to Reagan is still just a blur...but I think that it was somehow important...

Tom,

Ian McDonald and Robert Fripp use to come to town a lot after the KC split and play at the Agora in Columbus. Sometimes they played seperately and occasionally (when money got tight, I guess) Michael Giles would join them for the manditory reunion tour..

Do you remember the Mike Quatro Jam Band from Detroit? They covered ITCOTCK in the mid 70's..Did a pretty good job, too.

When ever we go to one of those uppity restaurants, I still always ask for " A lark's tongue in aspic" for an appetizer... still haven't been able to get it, though.. but I do get some pretty strange looks from the waiters.
