I appreciate the concern George but he did ask. Anyway,
It's a track from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band but I would think that the song got airplay as it is on one of the most popular Beatles albums. All the songs got a lot of airplay.
Here's a song.
Could we have kippers for breakfast Mummy dear, mummy dear They got to have 'em in Texas 'Cos everyone's a millionaire
No, it's not Frampton but I think you have the right group because they did a popular song almost by the name "The Obvious Song" but that's not this song.

I get "the Obvious Song" confused with some other song a lot, as titles go.
Hm. If it's NOT Frampton, it's someone I confuse with Frampton..... um, SUPERTRAMP! The band is Supertramp. This song is probably off "Breakfast in America".
*thinks* Is this SUPERTRAMP with THE LOGICAL SONG?
WordWolf you definitely have the group right it's the name of the song that you need to come up with. This is not the Logical Song. And, you are right again with the album being ~Supertramp'~s Breakfast in America. Both of these songs we are discussing are on that album. I've got a few more lines if that helps? Hint* Its a trick title.
That "rainin' all over the world" bit is familiar. I suspect it's another of those songs I never paid much attention to, so only the repeated lines are memorable.
Now roll them cases out and lift them amps Haul them trusses down and get 'em up them ramps 'Cause when it comes to moving me You know, you guys are the champs
"I'm all out of hope.
One more bad break
Could bring a fall.
When I'm far from home
Don't call me on the phone
To tell me you're alone.
It's easy to deceive.
It's easy to tease,
But hard to get release."

"I spend so much time
Believing all the lies
To keep the dream alive.
Now it makes me sad,
It makes me mad at truth
For loving what was you."
"When you hear the music you make a dip
Into someone else's pocket then make a slip.
Steal a car and go to Las Vegas. Oh, the gigolo pool.
Hanging out by the state line,
Turning holy water into wine,
Drinkin' it down, oh.
I'm on a bus on a psychedelic trip,
Reading murder books, & trying 'ta stay hip.
I'm thinkin' of you. You're out there so
Say your prayers.
Say your prayers.
Say your prayers."

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

I'm a loser, what a joker
I'm playing my jokes upon you
While there's nothing better to do
Don't you look at my girlfriend
She's the only one I've got
Not much of a girlfriend
Never seem to get a lot

Is this something by PETER FRAMPTON? I'm thinking it's either like "THE OBVIOUS SONG", or that's its name.

Take a look at my girlfriend
She's the only one I've got
Not much of a girlfriend
Never seem to get a lot
Take a jumbo across the water
Like to see America
See the girls in California
I'm hoping it's going to come true
But there's not a lot I can do
Could we have kippers for breakfast
Mummy dear, mummy dear

Apparently, this is as much as I've got. (I've never actually listened to "Breakfast in America" so I can't call up a memory of what I've heard.)

She cried to the southern wind
About a love that was sure to end
Every dream in her heart was gone
Bad dreamer, what's your name?
Looks like we're ridin' on the same train
Looks as though there'll be more pain
And it's rainin' all over the world
It's raining all over the world
Tonight, the longest night
She came to me like a friend
She blew in on a southern wind
Now my heart is turned to stone again

Was there a song called "Roadies"?

Um, not exactly, AFAIK.
The only song I know that mentions the roadies was Jackson Browne's "The Load Out Song. "
"Now the seats are all empty. Let the roadies take the stage. They're the first to come and the last to leave, working for that minimum wage...."
It's a simple song, and the piano melody feels a little like the melancholy of an empty theater after a successful show.
As for this song, it's not ringing any bells.
