Any time of the year, don't you hear? Dressin' fine, makin' time We breeze up and down the street We get respect from the people we meet They make way day or night
Â
At a spot where the beat's really hot (Where we are bound) If it's square, we ain't there We make every minute count, yeah Our share is always the biggest amount Other guys imitate us But the original's still the greatest

Any time of the year, don't you hear? (Havin' a ball) Dressin' fine, makin' time We breeze up and down the street We get respect from the people we meet They make way day or night They know the in crowd is out of sight
At a spot where the beat's really hot (Where we are bound) If it's square, we ain't there We make every minute count, yeah Our share is always the biggest amount Other guys imitate us But the original's still the greatest
Yeah, yeah
Got our own way of walkin' We got our own way of talkin', yeah
Any time of the year, don't you hear? Spendin' cash; talkin' trash. I'll show you a real good time; Come on with me and leave your troubles behind. I don't care where you've been, You ain't been no where 'til you been in -Â With
Way to go George. I'll give you the round. It was The In Crowd originally done by Dobie Gray. He was probably best known for the song Drift Away. The Mama's and the Papa's recorded in also in 65'.
When I'm out walkin' I strut my stuff, man, I'm so strung out I'm high as a kite, I just might stop to check you out When I'm out walkin' I strut my stuff, man, I'm so strung out I'm high as a kite, I just might stop to check you out
Body and beats, I stain my sheets, I don't even know why My girlfriend, she's at the end, she is starting to cry When I'm out walkin' I strut my stuff, man, I'm so strung out I'm high as a kite, I just might stop to check you out
That was it. I had just remembered of my post after some of those lyrics came into my mind.  I suppose the ? means you can't think of the band? That's ok. I kind of forgot myself.  ~Violent Femmes~ maybe.
You're so hot, teasing me So you're blue but I can't take a chance on a chick like you That's something I couldn't do There's that look in your eyes I can read in your face that your feelings are driving you wild Ah, but girl you're only a child
Well I can dance with you honey, If you think it's funny [Title] know that you're out And I can chat with you baby, Flirt a little maybe [Title] that you're out
Take it easy (take it easy) Better slow down girl That's no way to go [Title] Take it easy (take it easy) Try to cool it girl Take it nice and slow [Title]
I can see what you want, but you seem pretty young to be searching for that kind of fun So maybe I'm not the one Now you're so cute, I like your style, And I know what you mean when you give me a flash of that smile (smile) But girl you're only a child
Well I can dance with you honey If you think it's funny [Title] that you're out And I can chat with you baby, flirt a little maybe [Title] that you're out
Take it easy (take it easy) Better slow down girl That's no way to go [Title] Take it easy (take it easy) Try to cool it girl Take it nice and slow [Title]
Then perhaps the lyrics are reminding me of some other song.
George
The rhyme-scheme keeps making me think the missing title should be the Beatles' "Your Mother Should Know." However, I know enough of the song that I'm confident this is NOT it. I also don't think this is ANY Beatles song despite that.  Â
It gets kind of confusing when you go back and forth between your monitor name and username Raf. I thought you were another person and then realized that your not. No idea where any of this has been going for almost 12 days now.

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

I think it's "The In Crowd," but I don't remember the performer. George Benson, maybe?

He came on a summer's day
Bringin' gifts from far away
But he made it clear he couldn't stay
No harbor was his home

Because it's not correct:
And I can dance with you honey, if you think it's funny,
[title] that you're out?

Depending on whether you heard the original or the more recently adapted version, the genders may be flipped. The title does not change though.

It does seem vaguely familiar. Sort of rappish, I think, rather than melodic.
