"And when you finally fly away
I'll be hoping that I served you well.
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell.
But whatever road you choose,
I'm right behind you- win or lose."
"May good fortune be with you,
May your guiding light be strong.
Build a stairway to heaven
with a prince or a vagabond.
And may you never love in vain."
"And when you finally fly away I'll be hoping that I served you well. For all the wisdom of a lifetime No one can ever tell. But whatever road you choose, I'm right behind you- win or lose."
"May The Good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam.
And may sunshine and happiness
surround you when you're far from home.
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true.
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you."

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

No, I've heard of it. I can remember hearing it before, somewhere, sometime ago now.

The artist was comedian 'Denis Leary." The title was "@$$h01e."
You can check it out on YouTube.
Denis told the following story about this song...
Denis said he picked up his son from school and brought him to the recording studio
while he was recording the audio track. He didn't really think about how that
recording session had them singing out the spelling of the song's name.
As always, they recorded that a lot.
The next day, Denis got a phone-call from his son's school. They said he needed to
come in and discuss some inappropriate lyrics his son was singing.
He agreed to come in, and wondered what his son was singing. He wondered what he
could have sung, and compared it to his own experiences in school.
"Jingle bells, Batman smells..." and figured that, to them, "Batman smells" could
count as inappropriate.
So, at the meeting, the school representative didn't want to tell him directly what
his son sang. She wrote it down on a slip of paper, then slid it across a desk
to him.
"*flips paper over* @$$h01e???????"
"Do you know this song, Mr Leary?"
"Know it? I wrote it, sweetheart!"

Human without the bean
I'm still livin' with your ghost
Lonely and dreamin' of the West Coast
I don't want to be your downtime
I don't want to play your stupid game
With my big black boots and a suitcase
I do believe I'd find a new place
I don't want to be the bad guy
I don't want to do your sleepwalk
dance anymore

I just want to see some palm trees
I will try and shake away this disease
We can live beside the ocean
Leave the fire behind
Swim out past the breakers
Watch the world die
We can live beside the ocean
Leave the fire behind
Swim out past the breakers
Watch the world die

I guess this wasn't fair because I don't think the title appears in the lyrics.

No, it's more that I don't listen to Everclear that much-
but more than most posters here.
You posted enough of the lyrics, if not for that.

Now ya turn to the left when I say gee,
You turn to the right when I say haw,
Now gee, ya ya baby,
Now haw, ya oh baby, oh baby, pretty baby,
Do it baby, oh baby, oh baby,
Boogety, boogety, boogety, boogety shoo.

And possibly the complications

I worry over situations
I know will be alright
Perhaps it's just imagination."

Ok, changing song, but keeping the same artist.....
"Is it the men come to take me away?
Why do they follow me?
It's not the future that I can see-
It's just my fantasy."

I going....
I got to take a little time, a little time to think things over
IÂ better read between the line, in case I need it when I'm over
Now this mountain I must climb, feels like the world upon my shoulders
Through the clouds I see love shine, it keeps me warm as life grows colder

You were correct- Men at Work did "Overkill" and "Who Can It Be Now".
As for yours, I'm trying to remember the artist.
