Yes. That may have been their most well known song. At the climax of the 7:38 sec. album version of Nights In White Satin you get the GONG sound from the cymbal.
Hey, does anyone recognize the saying that Vp paraphrased in the advanced class around the late 80's that illustrates that certain phenomenon or certain people like The Moody Blues were having on culture and were therefore influencing social thinking, social views?
I remember he threw a couple of other names out there that had majorly impacted society. I'm just curious.

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

OK. Got one.
I catch the paperboy
But things don't really change
I'm standing in the wind
But I never wave bye-bye
But I try, I try
There's no sign of life
It's just the power to charm
I'm lying in the rain
But I never wave bye-bye

A few more lines perhaps will jive the memory.
Church on time... terrifies me
Church on time... makes me party
Church on time... put my trust in God and Man
God and Man.... no confessions
God and Man.... no religion
God and Man.... don't believe

Artists who did versions of this song included Dionne Warwick, Jose Feliciano,
The Four Seasons, Jay and the Americans, Peggy Lee, Martha and the Vandellas,
and Johnny Mathis, not counting the version I'm familiar with.

This was "(There's) Always Something There To Remind Me."
The version I knew was by "Naked Eyes" in 1982.

Don't wish it away
Don't look at it like it's forever
Between you and me, I could honestly say
That things can only get better
And while I'm away
Dust out the demons inside
And it won't be long before you and me run
To the place in our hearts where we hide

While Raf is away from this thread lets go with another song.
Gazing at People
Some hand in hand
Just what I'm going through
They can understand
Some try to tell me
Thoughts they cannot defend,
Just what you want to be
You'll be in the end

They still tour today, albeit with only 3 original band members. They refer to themselves as an progressive, classical rock band.
I know V P Weirwolf dissed them at the advanced class and warned that they had become a bad influence in our culture. Whatever.

Yes I am.
Coming in from London from over the pole
Flying in a big airliner
Chicken flying everywhere around the plane
Could we ever feel much finer
There's a guy with a ticket to Mexico
Could he ever look much stranger
Walkin' in the hall with his things and all
Smilin', said he was the Lone Ranger
