Really. I didn't think anyone playing here knew the band well enough. I was just about to post a different song.
This song was the hit on the album in 1971. Most of the albums by this group carried along with it a hit single. Just name the group and I'll give you the title WW.
Good for you WW. Not everyone is familiar with TMB.
I was playing a Moody Blues's album once and my co-worker said I bet you not everyone has heard of the moody blues. We asked somebody and he was right. They never heard of them... But she was only 25 years old. They were in their prime in 69.
I wouldn't know 5% of the bands of today that 25 year olds are into.

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

I'm sorry, I thought I gave this up. 3 days is my limit. I thought the super hero line
would at least warrant a hit though. Here's another clue:
Straight up, What did you hope to learn about here?
If I were someone else, would this all fall apart
Strange, where were you, when we started this gig?
I wish the [song title] would just stop hassling me

Sorry, I've been busy. Anyway, the singer of the band is perhaps as successful for his solo career as he is with his band.
A late 90's group, they have had a string of hits. A few years ago, the lead singer sangs vocals on a song with Carlos Santana.

Late 90s almost guarantees I won't know it, unless it was one of my stepkids' favorites.

The song Rob Thomas sang with Carlos Santana was called Smooth.
The group Matchbox 20 sings the song Real World.

Walking through forests of palm tree apartments ---
scoff at the monkeys who live in their dark tents
down by the waterhole --- drunk every Friday ---
eating their nuts --- saving their raisins for Sunday.
Lions and tigers who wait in the shadows ---
they're fast but they're lazy, and sleep in green meadows.

I need to check this thread more often.
I knew "Real World" but forgot the artists.
I didn't recognize "Smooth" from that clip, but I know the song and artists.
(Love the video.)
Naturally, I recognize Jethro Tull often.

A lady that I know just came from columbia
She smiled because I did not understand
And then she held out some marijuana, ha ha!
She said it was the best in the land
Skipping the chorus
A woman that I know just came from majorca, spain
She smiled because I did not understand (parazzi! parazzi!) (ole!)
Then she held out a ten pound bag of cocaine,
She said it was the finest in the land

That was Ringo. I think the song was called "No, No, No (I Don't Smoke It No More)"

Hear me now and understand
He's gonna find me some piece of mind
And if that piece of mind won't stay
I'm gonna find myself a better way

Here's something from the early 70's
I've been thinking about our fortune
And I've decided that we're really not to blame
For the love that's deep inside us now
Is still the same
Listen to the tide slowly turning
Wash all our heartaches away
We're part of the fire that is burning
And from the ashes we can build another day
But I'm frightened for your children
That the life that we are living is in vain
And the sunshine we've been waiting for
Will turn to rain

And the sounds we make together
Is the music to THE STORY IN YOUR EYES
It's been shining down upon me now

Probably one the largest mouths of anyone's I've ever seen. The boy can sing. Steven Tyler of ~Aerosmith~ the song is "Sweet Emotion".
Let's go right into the next on with this:
Here comes Johnny and he'll tell you the story
Hand me down mu walkin' shoes
Here come Johnny with the power and the glory
Backbeat the talkin' blues
He got the action, he got the motion
Yeah, the boy can play
