If Brother is right (and I suspect that he is, from the lyrics), this IS a song I've heard several times. Just not one I've paid much attention to, I guess. :)

That's correct.

The other big hit off the same album is "Rio".

IMHO, it's a better song but on the GSC, most people seem to have either

forgotten it or never heard it.
