I think that is Hungry like the Wolf, by Duran Duran. But I still don't have a clue to the name of the first song.
If Brother is right (and I suspect that he is, from the lyrics), this IS a song I've heard several times. Just not one I've paid much attention to, I guess. :)
Had I been on the boards 3 hours before you George, I would be up now.. I believe that is right. I was actually thinking of using that line myself before Brother used it.
yes you were right George, bonus if you included tiffany. I actually thot the beatles had done this song, but i could be wrong about that.
and is that song the Flower Girl by the Cowsills?
I checked that for you Speed. I tried to locate that song by the beatles on you-tube but apparently it was never done. And the internet is always right! Right?

If it is George blew it by leaving the title in the clue! But knowing George, its not the title.
It is a song by the Cowsills, about a flower girl, but that's not the title. The title of this song contains elements from the lyrics, but the title itself is not in the lyrics of the song. If no one else gets it today, I'll post the answer and give it to Brother Speed.

It was played on album oriented stations so that counts. I remember it I just can't think of the song right now

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Ok, I'll change it up.
Same artist, same album, different song.
"Burnin' the ground I break from the crowd
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you.
I smell like I sound, I'm lost and I'm found"

"Straddle the line in discord and rhyme
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you.
Mouth is alive with juices like wine"
"Stalked in the forest too close to hide
I'll be upon you by the moonlight side.
(Do do do do do do do)
(Do do do do do do do do)
High blood drummin' on your skin it's so tight
You feel my heat I'm just a moment behind.
(Do do do do do do do)
(Do do do do do do do do)"
"Burnin' the ground I break from the crowd
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you.

"Strut on a line it's discord and rhyme
I howl and I whine I'm after you
Mouth is alive all runnin' inside"
Still nothing?
I need a break.
Maybe I'll go get a sammich or something.
Or a meal.

That's correct.
The other big hit off the same album is "Rio".
IMHO, it's a better song but on the GSC, most people seem to have either
forgotten it or never heard it.
Your turn!

This one should be fairly simple and as multiple artists have performed this on the radio, and i will accept the name of any of them:
Look that the way we've gotta hide what we're doing
Because what would they say if they ever knew.

I was going to wait for BroSpeed's confirmation, but I am pretty sure it's right.
I love the flower girl
oh I don't know just why
she simply caught my eye
I love the flower girl
she seems so sweet and kind
she crept into in my mind

OK. I got one. Brother Speed, feel free to jump back in anytime.
Stop! Hold on. Stay in control
Girl, I want you here with me
But I'm really not as cool as I'd like to be
'Cause there's a red, under my bed
And there's a little yellow man in my head
And there's a true blue inside of me
That keeps stoppin' me, touchin' ya, watchin' ya, lovin' ya

I'll add a lyric to this song that should give you the group WordWolf.
Met a girl called Lola and I took her back to my place
Feelin' guilty, feelin' scared, hidden cameras everywhere
Stop! Hold on. Stay in control
Girl, I want you here with me
But I'm really not as cool as I'd like to be
'Cause there's a red, under my bed
And there's a little yellow man in my head
And there's a true blue inside of me
That keeps stoppin' me, touchin' ya, watchin' ya, lovin' ya

"Everybody's hustlin' just to have a little scene.
When I say we'll be cool I think that you know what I mean.
You stood on a beach at sunset, do you remember when?
I know a beach where, baby, a-it never ends."
