I have given every lyric but the title. It's a lesser known song by a very famous singer that got a LOT of play when it came out, and very little since then.
It's from a movie. I would say it's from a musical, since it was a movie version of a musical, but the song is not in the original musical.
I recognize Belle's song; I just don't remember the title or artist. :(
Whenever I heard "Down on the Corner," I always thought the lyric was "You don't need a pinhead just to hang around." It wan't until the first time I sang it in a karaoke bar that I found out what the real lyric was. (I still think "pinhead" would be better -- it's even less than a penny.)

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

So here's my lyric:

If I miss any more like that last one,
I'll have to hand in my membership card...
And I'm sure this one isn't the Alan Parsons Project,
since he wouldnt include the title in the clue.

No correct guesses yet...
Deep in my heart I'm concealing things I've been longing to say,
Scared to confess what I'm feeling, frightened you'll slip away.
TITLE, TITLE
Why are you at my side? How can I be any use to you now?
Give me a chance and I'll let you see how nothing has changed.

Scared to confess what I'm feeling, frightened you'll slip away.

No clue, Raf. It doesn't even bring a tune to mind or sound familiar.....

Those are definitely lyrics I would never have associated with a Madonna tune. ;)

That's "Take the Money and Run",
the Steve Miller Band, I think, is the artist.
If not, it's a safe guess.
A lot of the songs I get stuck on are the same
3-4 bands, and that's one.
