that's why I couldn't answer. It's a Led Zep tune. I never did understand their lyrics. The only lyric I ever understood of theirs was "And she's buying a stairway to seven". Any song that I have no idea about must be led Zeppelin I figure.

I had a rule like that somewhere that helped me narrow down guesses.
Those specific lines are easy to remember if you're a Led Zeppelin fan, or a fan of JRR Tolkien ("Lord of the Rings"),
or, if both, VERY easy to remember.
Mordor's the bad-guy territory in LotR/"Middle-Earth",
Gollum was the previous holder of the "One Ring", still seeking to hold his "precioussss" again.
When they wrote the song, the books were popular, but, IIRC, there were no movies yet, not even the cartoons.
(Yes, I can research it online, but I don't care enough at the moment.)

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

When I look over my shoulder,
What do you think I see ?
Some other cat looking over
His shoulder at me
And he's strange, sure he's strange.

Ah, a U-2 song!
That's "DESIRE!"
(Got it once I extended the line to the next line-
"She's a promise in the year of election.")
Probably too easy, this one.
"Twas in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair.
But Gollum, and the Evil One crept up
And slipped away with her."

Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake...he's old, and his skin is cold...
(sorry for the delay )

Did you ever see these guys in concert? It was sensual. Sexual. I'm telling you, something I'd never forget....

sharon, look, if they ever come around again...just kidding!
Here's the next one:
"Mirror queen, mannequin, rhythm of love"
My absolutely #1 favorite (if that matters at all).

It really was your birthday? I thought it was a joke. We did that to someone once .... well, never mind. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Tom.
This will in all likelihood give it away:
"Mirror queen, mannequin, rhythm of love
Sweet dream, saccharine, loosen up
I loosen up"
