ShaNaNa and the coasters among others

And I don't own the clothes I'm wearing,

And the road goes on forever,

And I've got one more silver dollar,

But I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no

OK.. OK... but I've got to go get on a plane in a couple of hours...

Ferry 'Cross the Mersey (I probably butchered the spelling)... one of the most beautiful (IMO) songs of the British invasion...

...by Gerry and the Pacemakers, at least they sang it... I don't know if they wrote it.

I was playing in one of those pimply faced garage bands that were so popular when this came out.

(You know, Betty Sue's birthday party, school dances and such)

Man, if you couldn't play this one and "Get Off My Cloud" you need not even bother plugging in your Silvertone amplifiers.

Edited to add "Wipeout". They used to say "Wipe Out or get out."

Lucky for us, we had a drummer who knew his instrument much better than we knew ours.

Little Black Egg-----------The Nightcrawlers

How gentle is the rain

That falls softly on the meadow?

Birds, high up in the trees

Serenade the flowers with their melodies.

Oh, see there beyond the hill

The bright colors of the rainbow?

Some magic from above

Made this day for us

Just to fall in love.

"A Lover's Concerto" by the Toys.

(Based on Minuet in G by Bach.)

George

You are correct, my friend, although the piece was actually written by Christian Petzold and found among the collective possessions of J. S. Bach.

It was written in 3/4 time and recorded in 4/4 time. Lyrics were added by Linzer and Randell.

Rock on, GSG!
