I think my song is probably too obscure and it probably didn't really get a lot of play on the radio. Therefore, I'm ditching this for another one. Truckin' by ~Bread~
"If I should call you up, invest a dime
And you say you belong to me and ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be, so very fine"
"I can't see me loving nobody
But you for all my life
When you're with me, baby
The skies will be blue for all my life"
I have a mansion but forget the price
Ain't never been there, they tell me its nice
I live in hotels, tear out the walls
I have accountants pay for it all
Â
My Maseratti does one-eighty-five
I lost my license, now I don't drive
I have a limo, ride in the back
I lock the doors in case I'm attacked
I'm making records, my fans they can't wait
They write me letters, tell me I'm great
So I got me an office, gold records on the wall
Just leave a message, maybe I'll call
I may have heard it, but neither the title nor the performer is familiar to me.

Joe Walsh was a member of the first group I ever saw in concert, The James Gang. I think ~Sugarloaf~ was the backup band, "Green Eyed Lady". He became a solo artist but then was hired as a permanent member of ~The Eagles~ in 1975 as their guitarist and keyboardist, and vocalist. He is very versatile and when ~The Eagles~ are on tour they play some of Joe Walsh's solo songs too.  He's kind of a huge artist.

It was played on album oriented stations so that counts. I remember it I just can't think of the song right now

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

This one I'm sure I've heard. The last verse is in my head, but I can't think of the title or the (female) artist).

The song to me is like a ballad. Very powerful. You are right. The artist is female.

Oops, you might have got it George, or anyone, were busy doing the holidays, but this was Dusty Springfields "You Don't Have to say you Love Me"
New song:
Get outta my way
Always in a hurry
Always in between
That's where you can find me
Gettin' pretty tired of stoppin'
Edited by Human without the beanIn old run down cafes
Some day I'm gonna find me a woman
Rich enough to pay my way

I might have gotten it if the title weren't in the lyrics you gave. Â
This new one doesn't ring any bells yet.

One might say "LIFE'S BEEN GOOD TO ME SO FAR", if one were Joe Walsh.

Ok, now that sounds familiar.
"Midnight Rider."Â I think that's the Allman Brothers.
