"Cold late night so long ago when I was not so strong you know, a pretty man came to me, never seen eyes so blue. You know, I could not run away.  It seemed we'd seen each other in a dream.  It seemed like he knew me. He looked right through me, yeah."
Where did my post go this morning? I named the song with the artist but I'm not seeing it now. Again, Magic Man by ~Heart~ and I may have thought this was the song FOL thread. Anyway, I'm going go,
Hop in my Chrysler, it's as big as a whale And it's about to set sail I got me a car, it seats about twenty, so come on
I had posted the song in the wrong thread. By the time I'd re-posted it and deleted it from the wrong thread, you'd already replied. I left a note about it on the other thread.  Â

Meanwhile, I'm all set- I've brought my jukebox money!
"Cosmic Thing"s 2 big hits got a LOT of airtime when that album came out.  (3 hits? "Roam", "Love Shack", "Deadbeat Club" is 3 hits if that's all 1 album.)
"It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside. I'm not one of those who can easily hide. I don't have much money, but boy if I did, I'd buy a big house where we both could live."
Well, you can't turn him into a company man
You can't turn him into a whore
And the boys upstairs
Just don't understand anymore

Well some folks say they're gonna hang him so high 'Cause you just can't do what he did There are some things you just can't put in the minds of those kids
As we celebrate mediocrity all the boys upstairs want to see How much you'll pay for what you used to get for free
The song with the same name as the album was released in 2002 and reached #22 on Billboards Top 200 list. Here's some more lines. The album reached # 9 so it was a hit.

Well he got him a station down in Mexico And sometimes it'll kind of come in And I'll bust a move and remember how it was back then
Well then, I will go ahead with another one. I thought Gen X people (whoever they are 41-55yr old) would pick up on this and obviously you have WordWolf heard of it but not everyone has the same taste as I do. I like ~The Killers~ despite them not really doing anything I like since the album "Day's of Age" and maybe now that they have a new album out just a few days ago (Pressure Machine) I hope that it will be worthwhile to listen to.

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

Any chance this is the Village People's "In The Navy?"Â
I'd recognize the chorus, I think, but not the rest of the song.

It sounds like Elton John's 'Your Song' because it is.
Next tune:
Well, you can't turn him into a company man
You can't turn him into a whore
And the boys upstairs
Just don't understand anymore

But he talks like a gentlemen
Like you imagined when
I don't know
Higher now than ever before
I know we can make it if we take it slow
Let's take it easy
Easy now, watch it go
On the back of a hurricane that started turning
You don't have to drink right now
But you can dip your feet
Every once in a little while
Waiting on some beautiful boy to
To save you from your old ways
You play forgiveness
Watch it now, here he comes

There's a few bands I've heard of, but I can't name even one song of theirs to save my life. This is one of those bands.
