Things went wrong today
Bad news came my way
I woke up to find
That I had blew my mind
Fifteen cents a word to read
A telegram I didn't need
Says she doesn't care no more
Think I'll throw it on the floor
Got your cable just today
Killed my groove I've got
To say
Now you've gone away, and How it's sad to say you've gone I remember what they said Now I'm going out of my head Telegram just had to say You've learned your lesson All the way

Look at the night and it don't seem so lonely
We filled it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurting runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I'm holding you
I remember hearing that the inspiration for "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond was JFK"s daughter.
I feel inclined to blow my mind Get hung up, feed the ducks with a bun They all come out to groove about Be nice and have fun in the sun
I'll tell you what I'll do (What will you do?) I'd like to go there now with you You can miss out school (Won't that be cool?) Why go to learn the words of fools?
(What will we do there?) We'll get high (What will we touch there?) We'll touch the sky (But why the tears there?) I'll tell you why It's all too beautiful It's all too beautiful It's all too beautiful It's all too beautiful
*looks it up* I've never heard of this song, and I've never heard of this GROUP.
Well nobody knows every song or every group do they? Take away their first name and add Ronnie Wood and Rod Stewart to the band and that's who they became. It's no Ape Man I will give you that. But still groovy.
Ok I got it this time. Itchycoo Park by ~The Small Faces~ was a song that their music label chose to release without asking the band who felt it was too pop ( they were probably right) and that is the image that they were trying to rid themselves of. The lead singer grew up in England and ran around in cut off shorts where patches of stinging nettles were and got the idea of itching from that experience and wrote this song.
Everybody's a dreamer and everybody's a star
And everybody's in movies, it doesn't matter who you are
There are starts in every city
In every house and on every street
And if you walk down Hollywood Boulevard
Their names are written in concrete
Don't step on Greta Garbo as you walk down the Boulevard
She looks so weak and fragile that's why she tried to be so hard
But they turned her into a princess
And they sat her on a throne
But she turned her back on stardom
Because she wanted to be alone
Stepping on Bela Lugosi could be dangerous- he might turn and bite. But, they're all "CELLULOID HEROES," and "celluloid heroes never feel any pain"and "celluloid heroes never really die."

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

This one sounds familiar.
Not enough to guess, though. :-)

*slaps forehead* I would have gotten the other quote that mentioned "homo sapiens" if I'd checked in. Darn.

Any more of the lyrics would give the song away. So here you go.

Snaggy, shaggy, ratsy, matsy
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided

Not the usual Kinks song, but quite memorable.
