OK, this was a bit of a stretch. Not to much radio time, although this song caught my ear in this last year. Kind of a catchy tune. However, I admit I never heard of the band before listening to the song. It's Words by ~Missing Persons~.

Usually their tempos are upbeat even when the lyrics are about death.

I know I wasn't listening to anything hard when you were listening to soft rock,

and I wasn't listening to Cake in the 70s because I don't think they were

a band in the 70s. Not that they're hard rock, of course.

Nowadays, he might listen to anything on the radio, on some specialized cable

music channel if he has one, or stream online for just about any format that's

still in operation.

No, it's what I listen to now. We probably listened to the same stuff back when.

That song is over 40 years old.

Might be what he's listening to now, or a few years ago.

Right. And right again. And right again WordWolf. It's Who are You. It's not that I'm so removed from what I listened to back in the day. I'm glad you asked though. I still listen to that every day. My personal tastes though for the same ole' same ole' have changed, and I started to listen to alternative rock (still a lot like rock n' roll), and I started liking it. The bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Counting Crows, R.E.M., and The Killers I've come to embrace mostly because I got tired of listening to so many commercials that the radio stations would play. Most stations play the same thing over and over. I just got bored with listening to it. I don't have sirius radio or anything. I still like the old stuff. I just like the other stuff too. I prefer CD's though over radio anyday.
