You got the title correct, and an artist correct.

You drank it UP, not DOWN, though.

So, yes, it is your turn!

hmmmm I beg to differ. I think the songs title was "Coconut" recorded by Harry Nilsson on his Nilsson Schmilsson album in 1971. It's the third track on that album.

Some background on it.

Oh yea,

You drink it all up and call me in the morning

I looked it up after posting and Harry Nilsson sang that song.

Let's see if anyone knows this one:

You say, Coke I say, caine

You say, John I say, Wayne

I want to ride my....

"Bicycle" by Queen

(I'm a Queen fan but hate this song... our local hard rock station plays it every morning at 7:30AM to signal the start of the morning commute. They've killed it for me!)

Hint:

You're so hot, teasing me

So you're blue but I can't take a chance on a chick like you

If someone includes the correct title in their answer,

and ONE of the artists who performed it,

it is correct.

I had to check if that artist DID, since I was using Nilsson's lyrics, but I checked.

ANY artist's cover of a song counts as a correct artist.

And it gives people who heard different people cover a song over the decades a decent chance to name it.

:offtopic:

Side note about "Bicycle Race"...

I read somewhere that when Queen went on tour with this song that so many fans bought bicycle bells that the city would sell out of them.

Back to Chas's clue...

Hello, lamppost, whatcha knowin'?

I've come to watch your flowers growin'.

George

"Feelin' Groovy" by (I think) Simon and Garfunkel.

And I think there might have been another name for this song...something like "The 59th Street Song."
