Actually WS I mis spoke.. Rio was the last Record Album that I bought.. started buying CDs .. But
There have been a few bands that I liked Post DD but not many Matchbox 20 comes to mind.. for one.. Pearl Jam and Phish as well...then of course Lou Gramm went Solo in he late 80's and even did a sound track for "the Lost Boys" which included "Lost in the Shadows" which was pretty good
It was one of the best rock soundtracks ever recorded, IMHO.
(Although Lou Gramm hardly did the ENTIRE album...)

It was played on album oriented stations so that counts. I remember it I just can't think of the song right now

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

Wasway's is "Bungle in the Jungle" by Jethro Tull (one I posted a few months ago, actually).
Now, back to WordWolf's song, which is our REGULARLY scheduled broadcast....

Wasway got it- Lou Gramm's "Say Hello to the Night (Lost in the Shadows)",
off the Lost Boys soundtrack.
You posted Wasway's answer-correctly.
Therefore, it is George's turn.

Sorry. I guess his answer was lost in the post.
New tune later.

If you don't like rock and roll think what you've been missing.
Let's all start to have a ball; everybody rock and roll.
But if you like to rock and stroll, come on down and listen.

Kinda sounds like "Rock And Roll Is Here To Stay" by Danny and the Juniors, but don't think it is. Just similar lyrics, maybe.

For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about you

an amazing tune waysider...
..."In My Life" by the Fab Four...
It amazes me sometimes when I go back and read the lyrics, simple yet carrying such deep emotion and meaning...
Assuming I'm correct, I'll post one now (it's a girl song, but it's nice):
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking

3 o'clock in the morning
here am I
sittin' here so lonely
so lonesome I could cry
Probably really easy. Sure do love the song and the singer.

First, let me state that I do not know this tune.
Therefore:
I found it interesting that I instantly recognized some of the lyrics as being used elsewhere.
The opening line is also the opening line to:
1. 3o'clock Blues(BB King)
2. Talking In My Sleep (Crystal Gayle)
The last line of the post is not only a line in a famous song but the title as well.("I'm So Lonsome I could Cry")
It was done by:
1. Hank Williams(He wrote it)
2. Elvis
3. Johnny Cash
4.B.J. Thomas (big hit)
5. Cowboy Junkies
6. Skeeter Davis ( my personal favorite)
And probably a dozen others I've not heard yet.
And yet I don't know this one

This one might be real easy or real tough...
I wake up in the morning, first sound that I hear
is that clock radio ringing in my ear
I make it to the bathroom to brush my teeth
to that big city beat.
I jump into the shower, bring my box along
'Cause I know all the words to all the songs
DJ stops the music to announce the time
Time has come today!
Grab my coat and grab my hat
Make my train in seconds flat
And all the time I'm listening to my radio
Down the block, to the corner
you can hear it all night long
on the roof, and down on broadway...

Since he made the "train" and not the "bus", this isn't "A Day in the Life."
It has to be the other song with that line.
Paul Schaefer's "When the Radio Is On."
In all honesty, I only know that song from discussing it with you, but that was a long time ago....

You got it.
A song featuring vocals from The Fresh Prince AND Dion! Totally geeky.
