As far as I can tell, no one has answered Wasway's clue yet. (Tom's answers are cryptic, so I'm never sure if he's actually answering.) If you know the song Wasway was quoting, please give title and performer. If you're right, you can post yours!
But I really don't know the name of the song... I just know it's that suicide song off of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars... (by Mr. Bowie)... is that close enough?

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

CORRECT!
And it was probably too easy.
In case you're interested, someone made a Flash video of the song.
You can find it fast enough with a quick search.
(Or I can do one and post the results if you need me to.)

Here's one I heard on the "60's channel this morning.
It's pretty easy, also. I'm not sure if it's been done here before but here it is.
Some will come and some will go
We shall surely pass
When the one that left us here
Returns for us at last
We are but a moments sunlight
Fading in the grass

All right already
Get together
the Youngbloods
Unfortunately I wasn't all that young...
Here see if you remember this.... I saw it live at MSG in '74
Chev brakes are snarling as you stumble across the road
But day breaks instead so you hurry home
Don't let the sun blast your shadow
Don't let the milk floats ride your mind
So natural-religiously unkind
Oh, no, love! you're not alone
You're watching yourself but you're too unfair
You got your head all tangled up, but if I could only make you
care
Oh, no, love! you're not alone

My My I thought that this one would go fast... Here is another verse
Time takes a cigarette, puts it in your mouth
You pull on your finger, then another finger, then your cigarette
The wall-to-wall is calling, it lingers, then you forget
Ohhh, you're a ********************
You're too old to lose it, too young to choose it
And the clocks waits so patiently on your song
You walk past a cafe but you don't eat when you've lived too long
Oh, no, no, no, you're a *********************

Clueless, as usual.
Going to see Aretha Franklin this weekend. Just love good ole soul music. Betting wasway's lyrics aren't from one of her songs.

Since I rarely guess any of Tom's or waysider's songs, I'll jump in. It should be easy, but then everyone here seems to think his selections are easy!

I had to listen to that album with headphones on so that my parents wouldn't hear some of the songs.
