I confess, I have never heard this one but my friend, dundat, who is a newbie( you know, Ben Dare and Dundat) knew it right away but is having trouble getting a post to go through.
I think I might know the band but have no idea what the song title is.
I'll just take my time. I don't want to rush to any conclusions.
I'm not planning to venture too far outside away from the 'puter because there is a big Arctic blast predicted to blow in from the Great White North. BRRR!

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Well, now that you're here, how about giving us a song line to figure out? As long as it was actually aired (not just an album cut), it's fair game.

this should be easy enough (with this crowd)... one of my favorites!
My uncle has a country place, that no one knows about
He says it used to be a farm...

I believe I have the artists, but I can't cudgel up the song title yet.

Here's the rest of the first stanza to help your memory:
My uncle has a country place, that no one knows about
He says it used to be a farm, before the motor law
And on sundays i elude the 'eyes' and hop the turbine freight
To far outside the wire, where my white-haired uncle waits.
(break of screaming guitar and drums and bass)...
is that enough to jog the memory?
