Back in the day I liked this song so much I sang it on my answering machine but changed the words.
Who can this be calling on my phone,,Clap,,clap,,clap. please hold on an listen for the tone, I know you haven't got all day, so leave a message now,it is okay! Who can this be Now? Am I goofy or what????
GSG--------The intertwining part refers to Steve Winwood, though when he was in this group he was still called STEVIE Winwood( Because he was only 15 or 16 years old. )Of course, now he shrugs that off and insists:"I'm a Man!"

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

This one from only 25 years ago...
Is it the man come to take me away?
Why do they follow me?
It's not the future that I can see,
It's just my fantasy.

He seeks and he hides,
He lives and he dies,
He saw it before we were dreaming.
He will hustle you down,
Tin can or a crown,
But he will never play with your feelings.

Taking us back to 1973.
Don't you know the feeling
Don't you know the truth
Don't you know you're dreaming
Don't you know it's you
Don't you know it's you.

Same song, The answer is Head Keeper by Dave Mason. So since no one could figure this out how about this one!
There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
And you know sometimes words have two meanings
In the tree by the brook there's a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven .

That would be Stairway to Heaven by Led Zep
But I am gonna have to dig out my Headkeeper Album I totally forgot about that song... As we interTWIne lets try this:
..........................play us a tune
Something to make us all happy
Do anything take us out of this gloom
Sing a song, play guitar
Make it snappy
You are the one who can make us all laugh
But doing that you break out in tears
Please don't be sad if it was a straight mind you had
We wouldn't have known you all these years

Here's one for you GSG!
(as we continue to intertwine)
My head's a-spinning
And I'm floating to sound
Too much is happening
'Cause you're not around
It's been a hard day
And nothing went too good
I'm gonna relax
Like everybody should

GSG! look at the clue in waysider's post! Here's the first stanza...
Well my temperature's rising
And my feet left the floor
Crazy people knocking,
'Cause they want some more.
Let me in baby,
I don't know what you got
You better take it easy.
This place is hot.
(then the chorus)
(then the next verse)
My head's a-spinning
And I'm floating to sound
Too much is happening
'Cause you're not around
It's been a hard day
And nothing went too good
I'm gonna relax
Like everybody should
(then the chorus again)
(then one more verse)
And don't forget the intertwining from the previous song (Dear Mr Fantasy, Traffic)
