Oakspear
Thanks for the hint "Hush" by Deep Purple. George We have a winner! "Hush" was the first big hit by the original version of Deep Purple. It was actually written by Joe South, and was one of several covers that Purple did on their first coupla' albums take it away George

It was a huge hit while it was a hit, but since then you almost never hear it. It's from the 80s It's from a movie It's peppy Just give me a chance to let me show you how much... WordWolf
You shut your mouth, how can you say I go about things the wrong way? How Soon is Now? by Everclear Charmed, I'm sure. Correct! Technically, I'm not sure their cover included the "now" quote, but that's the same song the Smiths did. And most people know it as the theme to that show. Morrisey's trademark whine is pretty distinct. I was getting ready for the other lyrics they use for the show- "I am human and I need to be loved Just like everybody else does." "See, I've already waited too long And all my hope is gone." I figured by THAT time, SOMEBODY'd know it. (Or at least I hoped.) ======= So, Belle, correct, and your turn. Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.
