and I'm fairly certain you've heard this song at SOME point.
Well, I HAVE been to sporting events, but I've certainly never heard these WORDS. Is this the song that has low brass playing a slow, downward chromatic scale? (Daahhhh, di-daahhhh, di-daahhh, di-dah, dun-dun)

Don't know the title but then I never did like the stones to much. unless it was covered by Flying Burrito brothers also which would make it dead flowers but I think that's another song.

Once beneath the stars, the universe was ours. Love was all we knew, and all I knew was you. I wonder where you are, I wonder if you think about me Once upon a time, IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. It mig

No, I think you mean the one with the "hey"s in it.
That's Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Part II."
A different part 2.
This one begins with the lines
"Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends,
We're so glad you could attend, come inside come inside..."
It's a fairly famous rock song, gets airplay, and I myself have heard it played
at stadiums. It's been around since the 70s.
But it's Tom's turn.

Here's a timely one:
Squalls out on the gulf stream, Big storm's comin' soon,
Passed out in my hammock, God I slept 'til way past noon,
Stood up and tried to focus, I hoped I wouldn't have to look far,
I knew I could use a bloody mary, So I stumbled next door to the bar.

Okay... some more...
And now I must confess, I could use some rest.
I can't run at this pace very long.
Yes it's quite insane, I think it hurts my brain.
But it cleans me out and then I can go on.

Here's one for Raf ;)-->
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music’s high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You’re in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

At first it reminded me of an Elton John song. Now I have no idea.

I'll add the two lines on either side for you... remember, it's for Raf so, though it's not a show tune... it might as well be!
The x's are the title, and no, I do not like this song... it's an instant "tune out" whenever I hear it (probably is for you as well!)
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the xxxxxxx xxxxx.

Darn! This is one of those "ghost lover" songs like "Teen Angel" but I know I won't get it without googling!
