Yeah, and signing that green card got us on that yellow brick road, with programs to join all along the way to OZ. And once we got there, yup, we found out about that "man behind the curtain."
"There's no place like home" we learned, and we left OZ so we could have homes and real lives and stop bouncing around on that damn yellow brick road....
Danny- If you study the Calvinist's --which I did not do until leaving TWI, the parellel is similar...they too believed your prosperity was a sign of godliness.
The Way Inc. was so far removed from actual Christianity, it's a joke. It's a total insult to think that the behavior of anybody in a "leadrship position" in the way, inc, had anything to do with anything remotely "Christian." I speak from experience. :)-->

Yes, TWI is like the Tin Man.
hollow and without a heart.
Year by year it gets rustier and rustier.
Soon, no one will hear it's creaky cries
and it will oxyidize
into Gehenna's blood and rusty soil.
Dorothy goes to church
and would gladly share its oil
but Vic's Tin Man stands all alone
in a dark wood in the twilight.
"If I believed that my reply were made
to one who could ever climb to the world again,
this flame would shake no more. But since no shade ever returned -- if what I am told is true -- from this blind world into the living light without fear of dishonor I can answer you;"*

Juan,
Sorry to ruin the moment but I believe it was the lion who had no heart. The tin man had no brain.

Yeah but,
Calvinists leave room for suffering.

My take:
The Wizard = VPW. He didn't really give anything. People already
had it.
Dorothy = Mrs. VPW. Little country girl living in a bad dream.
Toto = I'll volunteer for this part. He had no say in anything
and just got dragged around. That would be me. Or us.
Belinda the good witch = Excathedra
The wicked witch of the west = Donna?
the flying monkeys = Lead monkey is LCM
