I had the same question you have: Why not re-open the bookstore to the public?
I’ve been asking this question behind the scenes, and I hear rumblings from on high that they may very well do this, open the bookstore, very soon.
I sense a slow corporately sluggish move on their part to change the bad decisions of the past. I see many reasons they could be moving so slowly, and some are even quite valid.
I’m betting my money they will re-open the bookstore soon.
Maybe they already HAVE, and just aren’t making any big announcements.
My ? is: Why has TWI ignored other research material done by very knowledgable men and women?
Why have they not embraced the academic community, the scholars, and all who could shed a bit of light on any given subject?
"Why is the Dead Sea so Dead? Because it only has an inlet and no outlet".
No truer words could be said as to what TWI has done to itself. A closed system that is so self absorbed, no outside challange or accountability and has no outlet for which to grow. Just a matter of time and it will be like the DEAD SEA.

They will admit in private that the M&A stuff got out of hand. My question is have they called anyone back to apologize?

1.) Where's the money?
2.) Why didn't you take care of Mrs. Wierwille like you'd promised?

If they're so right and wonderful, why do they care what we say about them at GS?

Has anyone tried to place an order lately?

Call me quixotic, but yes, I can imagine it. But it does take a little warming up.

No, Mike, what I meant was, "could you imagine TWI selling Greasespot Cafe T-shirts!"

That's what I thought you said, and that's what I answered to.
I had to go through a lot of intermediary steps to see the shirts in there, but it IS conceivable.

My question:
Why couldn't a Biblical research ministry figure out what 'present truth' meant?

My question would be: Why was Craig Martindale allowd to remain as the president when they knew the life-style he was living???

Glad2B -- last time I was on their site, they had NOTHING to offer for sale.

This, of course, is a change from the old days.
Back then, there was little to really offer people, but there WAS
plenty for sale. I don't know why they're so adamant on closing themselves
off from this potentially-lucrative market when the money's been such a
motivator in the past. Maybe they're just going thru the motions at this
point....or maybe their biggest fear is of their goods being compared to those
of other Christians right now, and looking like yesterday's news.

WordWolf -- so true. I would think that they would have much more for sale now, but they have no "bookstore" offering even the stuff they promote now.

They used to have concordances, Bibles, and many other reference books available. I tried to order from them a while back, but they said no.
