I checked out the website and after reading the "mission statement", I figured it had to be related somehow to either old Way doctrines or CES doctrines. Sure enough, after checking out several pages on the website, I saw John Schoenheit's book "Sex and Scripture" listed in recommended reading.
Good job, Jeff! You almost had me fooled. If hanging around CES for 6 years going to meetings, singles activities, and general prayer and good behavior didn't open any doors to meet my "spiritual soulmate" within the CES network, a website's not gonna help either.
I would also suggest perhaps a different picture on your home webpage. The current picture of an alluring young woman in a somewhat provocative pose with a guy nuzzling her neck doesn't seem to promote the ideas you're putting out there.
I have to agree with Galen on the fact that this sight is likely affiliated with CES, but also with the CFF as well. In the downloadable teachings section of this site, about half of the teaching downloads are from these two organizations.
This leads me to wonder if one of these, or another cloaked organization (TWI?), is really running this site.
Also, as Excathedra asked earlier, just who or what are the "...DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS; CHARITIES AND MINISTRIES"?!?
I, for one, do not want to end up inadvertantly giving my hard earned dollars to anyone such as TWI through a back door that doesn't disclose it's true affiliations.
Until you FULLY disclose these cloaked charities and ministries, and then ONLY if I agree with all of the "DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS; CHARITIES AND MINISTRIES" that you support, MIGHT I join your organization.
Again, who are you really, and with whom are you affilliated???
"I would also suggest perhaps a different picture on your home webpage. The current picture of an alluring young woman in a somewhat provocative pose with a guy nuzzling her neck"
I don't know, I personally thought it was a very well done site, myself. In fact, much better done than the TWI, CFF, or CES sites (so I would have my doubts that this would be sponsored by any of them or by a consortium of them -- at least not done by the same web development team(s) that put those sites up).
And for those who object to the pose, what exactly are believer (CES, CFF or TWI) couples supposed to do together, if not enjoy each other? I realize its been several years since I have been out of the stuff, but I thought that couples were supposed to be romantically involved. Is that something that changed since I left?
Sorry, I meant the home page for the One God, One Love website. I'm sure there are no alluring women on CES's website, but I haven't checked them out lately.
The reason I thought Jeff started the original post is that it's reminiscent of his "Ronco-style" "Hey Gang! Look at this!" method of bringing new light to the poor, unenlightened masses. There's got to be some influence there, somewhere.
Mark, I agree that the website is very well done, and perhaps someone loosely associated with CES and CFF has volunteered to set all that up. I'm not familiar with CFF's teachings, but I was associated fairly closely with CES for about 5 years.
On any other dating website, the picture on the homepage would be pretty tame. I just didn't think it conveyed the kind of wholesome, biblical based relationship that the rest of the site is trying to promote.
George, I think that's exactly what the guy is thinking.
Yeah, I've seen drive by's in some other sites I frequent...nothing new.
To me, it doesn't look anything like something one of our off branch of twi would be doing. Although, to them it would be a great way to market....I'm remembering how I got into twi...cute guys one playing the guitar, was very enticing. This would be a great way to entice others.
I would also suggest perhaps a different picture on your home webpage. The current picture of an alluring young woman in a somewhat provocative pose with a guy nuzzling her neck doesn't seem to promote the ideas you're putting out there.

I would hardly put that pic in the catagory of a 'somewhat provocative pose'.

Maybe the poster that shared this link could come back and answer some questions.
In the WHOIS record, the tech support receives email at rbm.tv, which looks to be media support for a number of ministries or a ministry of its own.

That would have been my first guess about the initial post/er, as
well.
That pic may be less tame than most Christian organizations prefer to
use. However, compared to the old "parent" organization's talk about
the subject, it's pretty tame. :)--> It hardly would fit in with the
pornographic videos vpw showed some of you people in the live CFS
classes.
I wonder how much of his "sex maniac" stuff snuck into the splinters.
I'll probably never know.

I agree with Paw, on this one here!
Having looked it over, I did see Third Day advertised, and that group is about as generic, as they come. :)-->

COULD happen,
and would be appreciated,
but smart money's against it.
I'm figuring this was a "drive-by".
Of course, I could easily be wrong.
